Easter Island

I visited Easter Island on the way to Patagonia in March last year. I stayed on the tiny island just two days. It is one of the most isolated places on the planet, belonging to Chile which is in the distance of 3,700km to the east. This tiny speck of land in Polynesia, South Pacific, is famous for monumental statues called moai. I was not only interested in the archaeological sites but also looking at local people, its culture and current situation. I found that the island was completely different from where I am, so it made me learn the difference and feel something very unique.
